Asset Management Business
We constantly sharpen our asset management and product development skills.
Our asset management services have the longest history of any such service in Japan, and command one of the highest shares of the domestic market. We pride ourselves on offering highly specialized asset management services. We now have around 250 investment professionals and approximately 428billion US dollars (as of March 2018) in assets under management, managing funds for corporate pension funds, public pension funds, financial institutions and corporates. Our resources allow us to offer a wide range of investment strategies across asset classes on both a pooled and segregated basis, and provide the solution that best fits client requirements.
Asset Administration Business
We deliver a full range of services via our overseas network in line with our clients' global priorities.
Asset administration services are becoming increasingly complex and diverse. For example, asset administration systems must now satisfy global investment needs as investment opportunities expand to overseas markets. The Master Trust Bank of Japan, Ltd., which plays a pivotal role in our asset administration services, offers an extensive lineup of services tailored to customer needs. It administers a broad range of assets, including derivatives and foreign investment trusts, in addition to traditional bond and equity investments.
In the global custody business and fund administration business, we provide a full range of value-added services, including security lending and foreign exchange operations through our network of overseas subsidiaries in Luxembourg, New York and London.
Pension Business
We provide pension products and services, as well as consulting, with the aim of offering pension plans and management services that fit our clients' needs.
We provide all manner of pension services from corporate pension plan design to pension asset management and administration. These services make the most of our high degree of specialization and expertise developed in the corporate pension field over many years. Our corporate pension services are offered not only to our own customers, but also to customers of MUFG Bank, regional banks and other institutions through the trust bank agent system.
